A Poem for My Son Christopher and His New Bride Ariana

chris-and-ari2I wrote this poem for my son Christopher and his new Bride Ariana

And I am honored to share it with you.

Inspired by Margot Uceda Murphy

It’s titled, “Twin Flames”

mm-speech2Before you were here………you were love.

And one starry night……God asked…….which of you bright lights……would like to exit from above.

Before fear could creep in, you boldly said, ………I will……….

As God approached you he said…..you know what I must do

But before I do….. Allow me to place a piece of me…… inside of you, so I will always be there with you….on your journey…..

Then in a blink of an eye, he sliced you into two……..

Each half awoke in a different womb…….somewhere on mother earth………..and your journey began……

As you came through the birth canal all memory …was lost……

Then with a slap……each of you……took that first breathe………..and the human journey began,

And through the years…….through the heartaches……….and the triumphs………through the wins……and the losses

Something inside of you would was always wondering…….. is there more to this journey……. ……a longing inside …….always hoping………there must be more….something to make my heart sing and soar…….

And then one day……through the fog and confusion of human life……..you found yourself staring into the most beautiful eyes, the eyes of one another………and in that moment you realized that you were staring into the other half of your soul…..you were finally home……..you had found your twin flame

Chris and Ari, you have been richly blessed with the gift of one another……the gift of wholeness……completeness…….friendship…….of oneness……the greatest gift of all…….The gift of love…..the gift of finding your twin flame

My wish for both of you is that you will celebrate this gift daily, honor it…….. cherish it…… respect it ……..bless it, feed it,  and nurture it always….and if you do you will never lose it……and when you turn around that love will always be there…..having your back all the time…..protecting you……and you will never…..ever…walk alone.
